Please note: If you are registering to attend in-person at an event held at either a NIST, NCCoE, DoC or any other federal facility: These facilities are controlled-access facilities, and you will be asked a few additional questions prior to your arrival to process your registration. Attendees who do not complete the pre-arrival questions will not be permitted to enter.

Authority:  The collection of this information is authorized under The National Institute of Standards and Technology Act, as amended, 15 U.S.C. 271 et seq. (which includes Title 15 U.S.C. 272) and section 12 of the Stevenson-Wydler Technology Innovation Act of 1980, as amended, 15 U.S.C. 3710a. 5 U.S.C. 301; 44 U.S.C. 3101
 
Purpose:  The Public Affairs Office provides communications support to help NIST share its research results, services, and programs; to assist policymakers in learning about NIST’s role and activities; and to advise and assist NIST managers on public affairs and policy strategies.  In support of this mission, the Public Affairs Office System includes a cloud-based application that enable marketing and event management professionals to administer and track events through marketing automation, payment processing, and reporting.

Routine Uses: NIST will use this information to conduct necessary government business to enable marketing and event management professionals to administer and track events through marketing automation, payment processing, and reporting. Disclosure of this information is also subject to all the published routine uses as identified in the Privacy Act System of Records Notices: Commerce / DEPT-23: Information collected Electronically in Connection with Department of Commerce Activities, Events, and Programs; Commerce / DEPT-2: Accounts Receivable. Commerce/DEPT-6: Visitor Logs and Permits for Facilities Under Department Control
